Fire Department Training Network ("FDTN," "we," "us") respects the privacy of the firefighters, officers and departments we serve. This policy explains what we collect through fdtraining.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect
We collect only what we need to register you for training, fill your order, and maintain your membership record:
- Identity and contact. Name, rank or title, fire department or agency, email address, telephone number.
- Billing and shipping. Billing address including ZIP code, and a shipping address where goods are sent.
- Order and registration history. The courses you register for, the products you buy, and the dates and amounts.
- Membership record. Your membership status and renewal dates, which determine the rate you pay.
- Site data. A session cookie that keeps your shopping cart between pages, and standard web server logs.
Payment information
Card details entered at checkout are transmitted directly to our payment processor to authorize the transaction. FDTN does not receive, retain or store your full card number or card security code.
How we use it
- To confirm registrations, allocate seats, and send course details and pre-arrival instructions.
- To verify whether the member or non-member rate applies to your order.
- To pack and ship products, and to answer questions about an order.
- To send FIRE TRAINING and announcements of upcoming training to those who have asked for them.
- To keep records required for accounting and tax purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where the work requires it:
- Our payment processor, to authorize and settle card transactions.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
- Where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
Membership and registration records are kept for as long as you remain a member or attendee, and for as long afterwards as our accounting and tax obligations require. You may ask us to remove your details from our mailing list at any time.

fdtraining.com is served over an encrypted connection. Access to membership and order records is limited to FDTN staff who need it to do their work.
Children
Our training and materials are intended for fire service professionals. This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
